common sense!!!!

Yesterday we went to Burger King to have an end of the month "good food" kinda thingy for the kids - we parked the car just infront of BK and we sat outside as the kids wanted to play at the playground - after a while we heard kreeeeeeek - and I like WO! - my other half jumped out from his chair and go straight to the kancil parked slantingly beside us - the car reversed and hit the carbumper - we 'got' a scratched - the kancil broke the rear left 'lamp'. After looking at the 'hit results' he was wondering why isn'i the driver get out from the car - Guess what - it was a standard five boy - 'TERmasuk gear reverse, uncle!' ( trembling while anwering questions - pity him actually ) - with about 3 year old boy and 1 1/2 year old girl (siblings) in the car - the parents... nowhere to be seen! engine was on!

M not angry with the 11 year old boy - m angry with the parents!!.. thank goodness he hit our car if not he will go alllll the way and hit a SUV parked behind - which is WORST!! - with the small children inside!!! - So we waited for the parents for about 30 minutes while eating - and then the father came - My other half 'talked' to him - and he yelled at his 11 year old boy - but then after that my other half 'sound' him - that he is not suppose to leave kids in the car like that - we didnt ask for any compensation but we sort of reminded him to use his damn brain!! - hish marah ni - the ignorance, carelessness of some parents who put their children life at risks! - theres so many stories about kids died when was left in the car - the car explodelah , the car gasleak lah etcetera - i just cant write about it here.. it is sooooo.....ughhhh...

...I always reminded myself and my other half never ever ever leave the kids in the car for whatever reason!!...

duit raya

'Duit raya' - for the children - nowadays if u give less than rm2 - if you're lucky they'd minimally make face or if they're loud they say it out loud enough for everyone to hear that it is so cheapskate to whom it was from. For me, if i can only afford rm1 i'll give that amount, and if i feel it is necessary to give a bit more I will - i don't feel ashamed about it like i used to before - ukur baju sendirilah kan... well in urban areas it is understandable that rm1 is nothing for some kids - for some other kids rm10! is what they call 'duit raya' or maybe more.. for me rm1 can buy 2 creambreads from the mamak roti - which is tasty - i always reminded my kids not to ask for 'duit raya' and if people give just dont open it infront of them and DO NOT even emphasize on any amount that was given. This year i'm teaching them to put the money in a bank - to learn to save - we have gone thru hardships and thank goodness my kids adapted to it and learn the 'real' value of money.

..amazement

My parents in law decided to give 'duit raya' in a different way this year - put a lot of 'syillings' in a transparent small plastic bag - shaked it - makes it sounds 'keching! keching!' ) so it sounds dramatically ) - and call the kids to put in their hands and grab the 'syillings' as much as they can - hmm fun... for the kids - a bit hassle for the adults - as when the money fell off their small hands we have to run around to pickup the rolling 'syillings'... while the kids grinning jumping2.. also trying to chase after the money with the adults ( either the parents or young aunties and uncles ) bump into each other and fell down - we laughed out of the inconveniences..heheh

I don't know whether the trend where children comes from nowhere knocking on doors to 'beraya' - but actually wants to get 'duit raya' is an appropriate things to do - I don't know whether the parents actually let them go to do just that - I just don't think it is right - but then again they are children...

Hazy Dizzy Sneezy boogie

Haze haze go away come again another day.. will you..? of course you will ..since 7 days ago only 2 days was clear the rest is 'cloudy'... one of the clear day I brought along all my children to work which requires a lot of 'walking' and was very happy thinking that aaah..the haze has gone..but nope..it came back the next day... it is certainly not even healthy staying indoors...the particles will also stuck inside the house unless I have a hugh ionizer but i only have one which the filter needs to be change - the result - my kids have not stop coughing and sneezing including me, thank God the baby had the problem only at the earlier haze time - now she and my other half is the only one are healthy. Two days ago I cant even get up - all dizzy and sneezy - I am the type who rarely catch flu or cold ( Alhamdullilah ) but this time around my body resistant doesnt work that way anymore..... hmm.. I wonder why....
Angry.. but what can I do.. to ease - i told myself other countries esp the Indonesia ( who is the main cause ) has bigger problem, Palestine, Lebanon...
and oh..that day when i brought my kids out - we went to a bank in Maluri to renew my client's road tax - Affin Bank - we took a cab - but the driver didnt have rm50 change so I went in the bank first to change the money - while waiting for the change the bank officer gave my kids balloons and chocolates and sweets goodies ...it put a smile at their face esp Ayska who is frowning all the way as she already has flu..and this even before i deal with the road tax thingy - and they're all espescially nice to us that day....hmmm..how nice... Syukur...
I pray for peace and health for the children of Palestine - we only have haze ( tho IT IS a health hazard ) but they have bombs and guns....violent!!

Prophet Salleh

The descendant of Sam bin Nuh, Allah sent unto them to the Tsamud located in the south of Palestine. They are civilized people but they worshipped stones, then Nabi Salleh asked them to worship Allah only, but most of the Tsamud refused. Even after Nabi Salleh granted their wish to create a female camel out of a rock, for some it is a bless and they believe in him, for others they still cannot accept it and tried to kill the camel. They did killed the camel and after three days their land was destroyed by massive earthquakes, only those who believes in him was save as they had left the place earlier...

Mulanya di sini

Mulanya di sini
ku kenali dirimu
sehingga kini
sehingga ke akhir waktu..
Mulanya di sini
ku kenali hatimu
kita berteman
seiring jalan dan sehaluan
Sama-sama menjejak mimpi
Sama-sama mencari dan menanti
Segalanya direstui cinta sejati
Sama-sama gunung di daki
Sama-sama turun ke lembah sepi
suka duka bersama dirasai
Di hadapan kita
ada jalan menuju
di kejauhan
ada sinar menanti
di penghujung perjalanan ini
OO.. Sambil bernyanyi
mendendang senandung yang syahdu
riangnya hati
dan indah dunia ku

ha.. I didnt cut and paste the lyrics of this song, I actually memorize it - I had two of Freedom's album ( cassette ) - that was 1984 ( if m not mistaken ) and i was in standard 6 - main singer - Allahyarhamah Seha - she passed away yesterday morning due to lung cancer which was only detected last two months.

Although she has not been singing for quite sometimes - as far as know - her name and her songs with Freedom are always in my mind - same as the songs from Adam Ahmad, Search, Wings, Fairuz Hussein, Febians a lot more during the 80's.. english album huh - more memories - but that one later..

Back to the late Seha... for me her smile is special and her voice is unique, the news about she's having lung cancer was only about 3 weeks ago and her battle ended yesterday. What makes me so sad is as she misses her son so much, even though she managed to talk to him but she didnt get to hug him. I'm deeply touch of stories like this, stories concerning mothers and children. Any mom's in the world could easily felt her feelings....Al Fatihah

Also found a chocolate tart recipe

I read the recipe in the net to look for more tips

Then the cookies will be the chocolate chip cookies
I dont know how long will it last, maybe only a week
less than a week if i add nuts and smarties
Also may try the chocolate with cornflakes cookies
Lets hope my ambition is not merely a meek

The Firecrackers vs the Haze

Now we have both air pollutant and sound pollutant... The A.P.I today at my house i think is better - I can see the hills now. but the S.P.I ( is there any of such Index ;) ) will not cease till maybe next year.
Since the start of Ramadhan, kids have started to play fire crackers/ fireworks. ..and i feel like strangling them espescially when my baby is asleep. The one that is the long blue one ( i dont know what is the name ) - i boleh tahan lagi , the one that goes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee BOOM! = grrrrrr.. and the one 'meriam buatan sendiri' - even louder... How they know how to create these things - - there must be at least one adult involve to teach them.. and the one they call mercun bola..sheesh..and the parents ...buat tak tahu je.. and I think the kids knows that they are wrong as when the the thing makes it sound - i see nobody is around.
where did they get all this thingslah..haiya the black market..unstoppable eh.. from the news today the the Customs say the smuggling of firecrackers has lessened - hey...they're still around babe...

Prophet Nuh

The big flood = our generations came from the noah's ark...

Prophet Nuh

He was Nuh Ibn Lamik, Ibn Mitoshilkh, Ibn Idris (Enoch), Ibn yard, Ibn Mahlabeel, Ibn Qinan, Ibn Anoush, Ibn Seth, Ibn Adam the Father of Mankind (PBUH).

Nuh was born one hundred and twenty six years after the death of Adam. Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "The period between Adam and Nuh was ten centuries." (Sahih Bukhari, Nuh was born 1056 years after Adam's creation (or after he left the Garden of Eden). For many generations Nuh's people had been worshipping statues that they called gods. They believed that these gods would bring them good, protect them from evil and provide all their needs. They gave their idols names such as Waddan, Suwa'an, Yaghutha, Ya'auga, and Nasran, (These idols represented, respectively, manly power; mutability, beauty; brute strength, swiftness, sharp sight, insight) according to the power they thought these gods possessed.
Originally these were the names of good people who had lived among them. After their deaths, statues of them were erected to keep their memories alive. After sometime, however, people began to worship these statues. Later generations did not even know why they had been erected; they only knew their parents had prayed to them. That is how idol worshipping developed. Since they had no understanding of Allah the Almighty Who would punish them for their evil deeds, they became cruel and immoral.
Ibn Abi Hatim related this story: "Waddan was a righteous man who was loved by his people. When he died, they withdrew to his grave in the land of Babylonia and were overwhelmed by sadness. When Iblis saw their sorrow caused by his death, he disguised himself in the form of a man saying: 'I have seen your sorrow because of this man's death; can I make a statue like him which could be put in your meeting place to make you remember him?' They said: 'Yes.'
So he made the statue like him. They put it in their meeting place in order to be reminded of him. When Iblis saw their interest in remembering him, he said: 'Can I build a statue of him in the home of each one of you so that he would be in everyone's house and you could remember him?'
They agreed.
The essence of this point is that every idol from those earlier mentioned was worshipped by a certain group of people. It was mentioned that people made picture sand as the ages passed they made these pictures into statues, so that their forms could be fully recognized; afterwards they were worshipped instead of Allah.
It was narrated that Umm Salmah and Umm Habibah told Allah's Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about the church called "Maria" which they had seen in the land of Abyssinia. They described its beauty and the pictures therein. Therefore, disbelief in Allah, or polytheism, results in the loss of freedom, the destruction of the mind, and the absence of a noble target in life. (By worshipping anything other than Allah, man becomes enslaved to Satan, who is himself a creature and becomes harnessed to his own baser qualities).
Into this environment Allah sent Nuh with His message to his people. Nuh was the only intellectual not caught in the whirlpool of man's destruction which was caused by polytheism.
Allah is His Mercy sent His messenger Nuh to guide his people. Nuh was an excellent speaker and a very patient man. He pointed out to his people the mysteries of life and the wonders of the universe. He pointed out how the night is regularly followed by the day and that the balance between these opposites were designed by Allah the Almighty for our good. The night gives coolness and rest while the day gives warmth and awakens activity. The sun encourages growth, keeping all plants and animals alive, while the moon and stars assist in the reckoning of time, direction and seasons. He pointed out that the ownership of the heavens and the earth belongs only to the Divine Creator.
Therefore, he explained to this people, there cannot have been more than one deity. He clarified to them how the devil had deceived them for so long and that the time had come for this deceit to stop. Nuh spoke to them of Allah's glorification of man, how HE had created him and provided him with sustenance and the blessings of a mind. The people listened to him in silence. His words were a shock to their stagnating minds as it is a shock to a person who is asleep under a wall which is about to fall and who is vigorously awakened. This person may be alarmed and may even become angry although the aim was to save him.
Nuh's people were divided into two groups after his warning. His words touched the hearts of the weak, the poor, and the miserable and soothed their wounds with its mercy. As for the rich, the strong, the mighty and the rulers they looked upon the warning with cold distrust. They believed they would be better off if things stayed as they were. Therefore they started their war of words against Nuh.
First they accused Nuh of being only human like themselves. He, however, had never said anything other than that. He asserted that, indeed, he was only a human being; Allah had sent a human messenger because the earth winhabited by humans. If it had been inhabited by angels Allah would have sent an angelic messenger.
The contest between the polytheists and Nuh continued. the rulers had thought at first that Nuh's call would soon fade on its own. When they found that his call attracted the poor, the helpless and common laborers, they started to verbally attack and taunt him: 'You are only followed by the poor, the meek and the worthless.'

Thus the conflict between Nuh and the heads of his people intensified. The disbeliveers tried to bargain: "Listen Nuh, if you want us to believe in you, then dismiss your believers. They are meek and poor, while are elite and rich; no faith c an include us both." Nuh listened to the heathens of his community and realized they were being obstinate. However, he was gentle in his response. He explained to his people that he could not dismiss the believers as they were not his guests but Allah's.
Nuh refuted the arguments of the disbeliveers with the noble knowledge of the prophets. It is the logic of intellect that rids itself of personal pride and interests.
The rulers were tired of Nuh's arguments. Allah the Exalted related their attitude
The battle continued; the arguments between the disbeliveers and Nuh became prolonged. When all the refutations of the disbeliveers collapsed and they had no more to say, they began to be rude and insulted Allah's prophet: 'The leaders of his people said: "Verily, we see you in plain error." (Ch 7:60 Quran)
Nuh continued appealing to his people to believe in Allah hour after hour, day after day year after year. He admonished his people and called them to Allah day and night, in secret and openly. HE gave them examples, explained Allah's signs and illustrated Allah's ability in the formation of His creatures. But whenever he called them to Allah, they ran away from him. Whenever he urged them to ask Allah to forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and became too proud to listen to the truth.
It happened that every passing generation admonished the succeeding one not to believe Nuh and to wage war against him. the father used to teach his child about the matter that was between himself and Nuh and counsel him to reject his call when he reached adulthood. Their natural disposition rejected believing and following the truth.
Nuh saw that the number of believers was not increasing, while that of the disbeliveers was. He was sad for his people, but he never reached the point of despair.
There came a day when Allah revealed to Nuh that no others would believe. Allah inspired him not to grieve for them at which point Nuh prayed that the disbeliveers be destroyed. Allah accepted Nuh's prayer. The case was closed, and He passed His judgment on the disbeliveers in the form of a flood. Allah the Exalted ordered His worshipper Nuh to build an ark with His knowledge and instructions and with the help of angels. Nuh chose a place outside the city, far from the sea. HE collected wood and tools and began to day and night to build the ark. The people's mockery continued: "O Nuh! Does carpentry appeal to you more than prophethood? Why are you building an ark so far from the sea? Are you going to drag it to the water or is the wind going to carry it for you?" Nuh replied: "You will come to know who will be put to shame and suffer."
The ship was constructed, and Nuh sat waiting Allah's command. Allah revealed to him that when water miraculously gushed forth from the oven at Nuh's house, that would be the sign of the start of the flood, and the sign for Nuh to act.
The terrible day arrived when the oven at Nuh's house overflowed. Nuh hurried to open the ark and summon the believers. He also took with him a pair, male and female, of every type of animal, bird and insect. Seeing him taking these creatures to the ark, the people laughed loudly: "Nuh must have gone out of his head! What is he going to do with the animals?"
Nuh's wife was not a believer with him so she did not join him; neither did one of Nuh's sons, who was secretly a disbeliever but had pretended faith in front of Nuh. Likewise most of the people were disbeliveers and did not go on board.
The scholars hold different opinions on the number of those who were with Nuh on the ship. Ibn Abbas stated that there were 80 believers while Ka ab al Ahbar held that there were 72 believers. Others claimed that there were 10 believers with Nuh.
Water rose from the cracks in the earth; there was not a crack from which water did not rise. rain poured from the sky in quantities never seen before on earth. Water continued pouring from the sky rising from the cracks; hour after hour the level rose. The seas and waves invaded the land. The interior of the earth moved in a strange way, and the ocean floors lifted suddenly, flooding the dry land. The earth, for the first time was submerged.
Nuh called out to his son, who had separated himself (apart), "O my son! Embark with us and be not with the disbeliveers." The son replied, "I will betake myself to a mountain, it will save me from the water." Nuh said: "This day there is no savior from the Decree of Allah except him on whom He has mercy." And a wave came in between them so he (the son) was among the drowned.
Nuh called upon his Lord and said, "O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! Certainly, Your Promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges." HE said: "O Nuh! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorants."
Nuh said: "O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers."
With the issue of the divine command, calm returned to earth, the water retreated, and the dry land shone once again in the rays of the sun. The flood had cleansed the earth of the disbeliveers and polytheists.
Nuh released the birds, and the beats which scattered over the earth. After that the believers disembarked. Nuh put his forehead to the ground in prostration. The survivors kindled a fire and sat around it. Lighting a fire had been prohibited on board so as not to ignite the ship's wood and burn it up. None of them had eaten hot food during the entire period of the floor. Following the disembarkation there was a day of fasting in thanks to Allah.
The Quran draws the curtain on Nuh's story. We do not know how his affairs with his people continued. All we know or can ascertain is that on his deathbed he requested his son to worship Allah alone, Nuh then passed away.
Abdullah Ibn Amru Ibn Al as narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "When the death of the Messenger of Allah Nuh approached, the admonished his sons: 'Indeed I would give you far reaching advice, commanding you to do 2 things, and warning you against doing 2 things as well. I charge you to believe that there is no god but Allah and that if the seven heavens and the seven earths were put on one side of a scale and the words "there is no god but Allah" were put on the other, the latter would outweigh the former. I warn you against associating partners with Allah and against pride." (Sahih al Bukhari)
Some traditions said that his grave is in the Scared Mosque in Mecca, while others said that he was buried in Baalabak, a city in Iraq.

Not so festive mood

..and so we went to Jaya Jusco...straight went to the kids dept and right away saw the kids baju kurung - excellent cotton , colours that she likes, the right size ( shes's almost 6 but her size is for 4 year olds ) for RM29.90 ( again must emphasize this is not an ad etc etc ) - the best of all - not many people - no havocs like what i expect to happen if we were to go to Jln Masjid India - of courselah more choices there - but i hate the crowds. We have not really shop for raya for some years due to you-know-what the unlucky episode of my life.,, now about to breath..Then we buy a couple of clothes for the small ones - wanted to buy their shoes but we are already tired and didnt get the right shoe and the right budget for them - so decided to postpone till next week... I think shoes are best at Sg. Wang Plaza.
Then we went to breakfast at the food court - again excellent choice of food - my nasi goreng singapore with fish and chips + red beans - sedap - and the kids enjoy their sausages + eggs + red beans + chips - sedap also. Other half prefer mamak food tho..
..and went to the groceries store - again excellent ! - hardly 30 people in there - ..shop cepat2 and balik..

This year raya is going to be different for us - my parents are going for a holiday treat to Cherating - my in-laws - i actually dont know what are their plans - as their sons all are working during or 2nd day raya - my other half is also working on the second day raya so very obviously we dont go back there -- so I guess my first raya either we stay home or we go to Sunway Lagoon ( which I think will be havocs too ) - but must think of the kids -instead of going to people house, the weekend baru p visit-visit kot...

Raya was the best went my Opah was still around - where her house is the station to every one of her children and co.. she has 44 grandchildren and 20 over greatgrandchildren - didnt include her siblings grandchildrens - whom we're all very close with . Most of us stay in KL - but we don't of course meet often - so the only meeting point is at the stationlah - She passed away 7 years ago - and since then very seldom we go back there - and very rare we meet our sedara mara unless theres weddings...

Nowadays raya 'dalam rumah batu'- my kids wont be able to experience it anymore...

sHOPPING SHOPPING

This is not an AD nor i own any shares with this company nor a promotion - just sharing my thoughts...

Last week I went alone to the newly open TESCO between Pandan's area and Ampang, by the KESAS highway - The first time I went there like 1 month ago with my parents, I didnt do much of the shopping - my parents did, so i was just observing the place and didnt concentrate on the price they're offering, though my parents commented it is quite cheap and my kids love the 'playground' which cost rm1 for unlimited time and end up very difficult for us to make them to get out from there when its time to go...and so back to my last week,,, I decided to shop for some groceries there instead of my normal GIANT and sundry shops near my place - So i bought 5 items of vegetables, 1 whole chicken, some canfoods, onions and stuff and 3 items of TESCO brand like the flour.salt and tissue box. (4 plastic bags) and to my amazement it cost me only rm20! I was so happy and they also gave me a free bonuslink card ( good marketing strategy! )..wah...cheap aar this place - it's just that it is a bit further than my place... very likely I wont forget GIANT as it is nearer - but i will go back to TESCO to buy groceries...Came back home happily - start to look at my groceries price notebook and I calculated and compare prices and I save rm7 - well not much tho but if I buy a lot more than it could be a huge different. Admitedly some things are slightly higher price like the baby's milk, rice etc - only the 'barang dapur' is so much cheaper.

Later today going to look for a reasonable price for ayska's baju kurung raya - thinking of going to jln masjid india tapi i just hate! the havoc situation there espescially when everybody busy nak shopping raya- maybe i end up at jaya jusco..seelah how..

PEACE
