POOL MANIA

I has always been an enthusiast of pool game... before i have kids, me n my other half and a group of friends will go to pool clubs 2-3 days in a week. But i dont consider myself a hustlerlah - bolehla. Even when i was still schoolin i followed my parents to snooker club - my father of cozlah good at it - but my mom surprisingly got hooked by the game , she even bought a book to learn the skills n technique about snooker.. i, at that time was struggling to get my arms 'longer' than them.. then after a while when i start to go to college... met some frens..we start to play pool - and i love the game to the max.. as u dont have to do a lot of thinking and the games ends faster..and when i tried to play snooker i cant even see the holes..the table is too big for me heheheee

After 6 years plus, only this year, i start to play pool with my cuz... i totally lost my touch even when the ball angled straight towards the hole. Then what i did was, i downloaded the game where i can practise and see the 'lines'.. and after that Walahhh ...victory!...and my cuz was 'pist' heheeee

Last weekend me n ex-college mate had a get together at boulevard hotel in midvaley.. my fren who works in Japan came down to KL... she wanted to play pool as she also has not played for years..so we played at the coffeehouse - the one and only pool table - brits pool tho - takpalah janji pool. My cuz came along. We played with a lot of laughter..as and when we want to hit the ball ada saja 'voices' of sabotage..and we hafta giggle and the cue didnt hit the right angle..but it was fun - after a while me n my cuz start to play seriously while they starts to chat about 'world' issue' and thats where my victory started hehe...

After the game some of us adjourned to bangsar's Pelita... my cuz not satisfied with the game..then both of us then when to brewball Megan phileo... is not her game ..its just tht m getting better..cewah..

and two nites later she ajak lagi heheee..cant resist the challenge..i brought the kids along...played for 2 hours... and i maintained... tomorrow evening ( Friday ) - we will be at all starz midvalley to play pool ...

come n join us..heheee

Why do i like 'my' house?

Gimme three good million i want to buy this house!

The journey to Cameron Highland was pleasant..the last time i was there was about 7 years ago..Drove to Tapah normal route to Cameron..the new route is in Simpang Pulai - although straigter way up but not practical for people from south. .. only for those who are from north or ppl whom very likely to vomit due to winding road. My Cuz, as expected, drove very 'professionally' - impressed, as she could overtake 15 cars behind a slow bus in about 15 minutes on a winding road up.. and took us about a bit over 1 hour to reach Tanah Rata. Once reached...hungryyy...look for rice..didnt had proper breakfast or lunch before going. Then after that bought all the jajans and the cintans. Weather was not so cold - a bit rainy - and we were like..oohh Cameron is not so cold anymore...

Then we went and meet Azah and hubby at the Hillsbrow Bungalow owned by MNI only 5 mins from tanah rata...the rain started to get heavy...Took of our shoe.....and yikes!..the floor is freezing..entering the house is like entering a refrigerator.... and the house ...oh..goodness me...sooooo cozy...soooo nice... so very the english... As and when we entered the house - we were around the house taking pictures without even resting... wishing we own the house...and it has a very nice huge garden and tennis court - all and all i think its about 1 acre... The children straight away changed the astro channel to 63. I then call my other half 'announcing' "Hey u shouldve been here lah - instead of working" but then again this is such a short notice of a one night vacation. Azah only paid rm40 a nite for the house - staff price. She booked and we're suppose to b there with some other freinds - but everybody cancelled..end up only us.

The house..one storey bungalow - nice english architecture...with 3 large rooms, each room has one double bed and one single bed...2 large modern bathrooms...one very humble kitchen with fridge..living hall nicely carpeted with a cozy black sofas and a tv. Dining hall with one long wooden brown table and a cupboard full of utensils, glasses, cups, plates..complete...all you hafta do is just bring the food and drinks and an electric cooker. Antique design furnitures. Fireplace - closed, cannot use. Not so luxurious..just nice for me. only lacking - one pool table and a library if it is my house heheeeThen Azah n hubby went out for dinner..twas raining and we didnt go to the night market..but hey the house is so interesting that we dont wanna get out of it. Then we managed to get the house a bit warmer...by closing all the windows ( soo many windows ) and doors and turned on the heater - but only a biiiit warmer - i took the blanket from the room and wraped myself while watching tv at the living halls. We stayed up watching tv , chit chating , makan cintan, my cuz with her sudokus...3am tip toed to the room..freezing.... then dozed off.

Next day 0845 hrs..woke up... kids also woke up early. I showered for 30 minutes with the warm water - feel so good..but then after that..my fingers still turned blue. Kids also looks blue..hehe..shivering..quickly dressed them up and wear socks. Then I planned to take some picts at the garden..but vroooooof...here comes the rain again ( eurythmics ) - MEGA COLD - with the wind and the kabus all around the house. We had a good breakfast - Azah boiled some corns - which is called Jagung mutiara..as the colour is yellow and white..so cute so sweet..never seen it in KL. Then Azah had to go back to KL at 1100 hours feelin unsatisfied ( she wish can stay longer - but hubby got meetings ) we stayed and waited for the rain to stop - but it didnt...so we took the umbrella - went outside and took the garden picts .By noon we checked out, living the keys to the handsome caretaker and as plan we went to buy some souveniers and veges and flowers..all very cheap cheap one. A must buy for me is strawberries and sweet potatoes. We didnt go and visit any centres/park or farms/valley which we normally do when we go to cameron..( i think ive been there for 4 times since small) ..twas drizzling..leceh with the kids to go here n there..We stopped at the cameronian valley , had tea and expensive strawberry cheese cake..one slice rm6 ..apaaadiaaa..took pictures. OTW down ..best of all....the PETAIIII bought it from the native...huuu...nice and fresh! eat with my sambal..pehhhh

Stopped over at Tapah RnR..lunch..nice nasi ayam...reached KL, stopover at my parents place - passed the veges she 'ordered'...then home sweet home ...but i still want to own that house!!!!!! aaaa......but cannot stay just 1 or 2 people.. nenenenenenenene ( twilight zone )

Your eyes tells it all

Last Tuesday I attended another course - this time it is conducted by a trainer from Neuro Linguistic Programming. Twas a normal Psychology in Selling Course with i usually listen to for the past 12 years in selling..with familiar terms and anologies but i never really practiced it - silly me.

but one thing about the course that i would like to share as when you are facing while interacting with your clients or even your friends or your spouse.

The eye accessing cues.

1. If eyes looking right and up meaning you are imagining or picturing - called Visual construct
2. If eyes lookin left and up meaning you're recalling - Visual remembered
3. If eyes and heads turns right you're reviewing audio/music/sounds - Auditory construct
4. If eyes and heads turns left you're recalling audio/music/sounds - Auditory remembered
5. If eyes looking right and down you're expressing your feelings - Kinesthetic/ Feelings
6. If eyes lookin down and left you're talkin to yourself - Auditory digital

These are for the right handed, the lefthanded person would do just the other way around. So you can imagine and practise with your eyes, as i lazy to illustrate , but you can view it here.

So for example, when a wife asked:

W: Where were you last nite?
H: I was at a meeting with my boss ( and his eyes lookin right up )

ekkk...u got it right - his lying heheheee

to be safe - make sure u are both right and left handed ..ahahahaha

TRANSFORMING OUR MIND

I dunno who is Autobots who is Decepticons..let alone The Optimus Prime and Megatron...but now i KNOW! ....they are not just the TNB one ( *wink* to John ) hehehe

Watching the movie on the first day, 28th Of June...the crowd..at 5 pm twas a workin day...hafta seat 3 rows from front, get ourselves neckache and hafta seat slightly slanting my body was damn! WORTH IT!

Robots is obviously not my 'area' but I know the theme song...listening to it since the TV3 was born but didnt really watch it...so my earlier expectation of the movie is like..ok..err...must be somethin like Xmen or Men in Black or Fantastic Four ( although none of these are not robotics movies - but somethin like that lah )...andddd my expectation was wronggggg

Compared to Shrek3 - my kids sat down without even move out from the seats with mouth open for the whole 144 minutes esp Amar { Well Shrek has become an adult comedy that kids of mine dont understand - but i lurve Shrek anyway ]

Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and HASBRO has done a great job! It is a mix and match of a war movies. comedic, loveydovey, tokyo drift, family, top gun n die hard kinda. Well it is not an award material per say...the animations, storyline and scripts are excellente!

For the Guys ..hey ... checkout these 2 chicks - you wont want to miss them.
Megan Fox ( Mikaela) and Rachel Taylor ( Maggie )

For the girls ....checkout this guys Josh Duhamel ( Sergeant Lennox ) ( Las Vegas - I like this guy - so cute ) and Shia La Beouf ( Sam Witwicky ) ( the nerdy looks and funny guy)

..and the rest of the stars...superb...and I didnt know autobots pandai buat lawak.

So ..this movie - highly recommended for sci-fi lovers..and i wouldnt mind watching it again if i could - although after the movie i had to clarify certain scifi stuff that i dont understand with my other half..and after the movie i cant help lookin at cars, lorries and modern busses and imagine they transforms ..tiketiketiktik - to autobots. But the theme songs

Transformers
More than meets the eye
Transformers
Robots in Disguise
Transformers

tarak pulak...instead...the linkin parks one..oklah...

ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR

Little did you know ...... after reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!

Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:

According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):

Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia:

High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure:

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :

200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:

High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:

Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness
:
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites
:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:

Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:

Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:

Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control
:
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In hoiland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :

Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:

Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:

Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:

According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, " eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

Warts:

Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A Petai a day keeps the doctor away"

..hehehe..an alternative to citrus food...the petai that may smell your loo = healthy
