Reality Tv show - they do, we follow

The first time I watch a reality tv show was The Survivor, i think it was 7 years ago, I still remember i was pregnant with my first kid and my father was very sick at that time. Survivor was interesting at first, then i continued to watch season after season and then I got fedup as i can already read the game and the surprises....and the show proof that every human being although different but basically certain group of criteria is the same.... another interesting one is The Amazing Race which is more about racing to the destination - interesting heart-thumping show - we followed and its call The Explorace - oklah..same concept but of course less prize - not bad - it is entertaining.. Copying Survivor - hmm no, not yet..err..y? too costly i guess..

and then the singing competition... American Idol is the one shown here... i dono if theres anymore in the US of the same kind of show - then we tried to do
Malaysian Idol - first season winner - agreed Jaclyn Victor.. second season - ekkk - ( surely there is some very 'good' reasons [ except his voice ] that he wins ) - but shh shh shh.... cannot say anything - as i didnt vote... and then we had ONE IN A MILLION, first time we offered 1 milion as d prize, even though some of the million is for the recording contract purpose :-P Better quality show i must say compared to AKADEMI FANTASIA!! n MENTOR - ekkk..wrong show for me... . Actually kan we had this kind of shows before, since early 70's i think - RTM's Bintang RTM - the winner - confirm with quality voice - but at that time no smsess and still they're using profesional juries, now this kind of show its a hit ( using sms ), as viewers get the opportunity to 'participate' and choose the winner.. but who really watch the show??.. and who really sms?? d ppl who really have the time.. who?? Think..

The Apprentice - Donald Trump - my favourite. although i hate Trump's gutts hehe, in a slightly different way done by Sir Richard Branson - interesting, and a new show airing here, similarly - The My big Fat Obnoxious Boss - interesting title but have not really watch that one - got tired of watching The Apprentice look alike.. and we follow.. we had one in TV3 - forgot the title - didnt even have the urge to watch it, uninteresting at all, they tried to employ people to work with TV3 - laaa...that one also want to do show and Nescafe Kick Start( not so interesting for me either ) and coming soon The FIRM in Ntv7 - hmm I wonder...

then also they had America's Next Top Model Women and Men ( we followed also - but only chinese version ), Project Runaway - fashion designer race ( not yet here I think) , and also yaaaa.. The Fab Gay Five or is it the Gay Fab Five - Queer Eye for the Straight Guy - their conversations sometimes funny, very educational, they are very talented, creative but sometimes "eweeee" - and we sort of followed - one in RTM i forgot the name of the show ( but it is a very pathetic show - the interior designs are bad ) also in Astro we have Eric in Casa Impian - better.. but all nothing like the Fab five - costly also i guess

The Bachelor - I watch only the first season - the rest of the season - everybody acts so sluttish , so the show got a bit annoying..and then there was The Bachelorette , same concept..and a few of similar men looking for women and vice versa show.. if they win lucky them , they get the cash and the guy/gal ..err..maybe - and then we tried to follow the concept and it turned out stupid.. in Mencari Cinta - - only 1 season - then they argued about it even in the parliament ( like theres no other important issues to debate about) and the show ends just like that "teeet - chup chup ..our parliament love this kind of stories kan - hehehe teet". and now we have Cari Menantu - islamic way - didnt watch.. so no comment hehe ..

..and then...aaaaa ;)...... this is good, What Women Want in 8TV Thursday 10.30pm- who watch?.. I watch... I like it ... same concept bachelor show - only a bit 'educational' - WHAT WOMEN WANT educational i say? well.. not for me anymore lah, too late - just enjoying the cute faces and this is what it is all about - 13 guys compete , juries, all women choose the right man to stay- one by one gets eliminated - one left who has the favourable character that what women want..and then i think think think, ok.

1. i believe the viewer of this show is mostly women ( main reason - cute guys )- and men are suppose to learn something from this show.
2. The ratio men to women here in Malaysia is : 1 : 4 ( correct me if m wrong ) and we have to be so demanding ( by having this show )
3. Men generally don't care what women 'want' they just want women - so.. there ..

No point - only entertainment - so for those few men who watch this show - at least - Congratulations! you're very kind.. next season - likewise - gonna be very predictable - again..

..and I hate shows that make people eats very gross stuff..blend it and drink it..yukkks..anddd..we also followla also..aiyaaa and thank God we dont have The Swan here..
overall i think the people who 'entered' the reality Tv Show are trying to 'sell' themselves .. in a glamourous tv way.. a lot more aired and airing - cannot catch up anymore..

Try to not be your mother

..that title is one of the tips when women who had to juggle career and housekeeping altogether..." as to avoid stress, dont try to be like your mother "I think I read it in malaysian women weekly magazine couple of years ago...

anddd... I agree with it..hehe... butttt ironically i have slowly becoming her . OH NO! but but.. I don't look like her..err.. i do now I think

My darling mother is forever sparkling-shining-clean-detail type of person and sometimes its hard to have my kids around her place - not that she's complaining and she understands completely that kids are being kids - but i have to make sure the kids dont do things the same as in our house - my guilty concious are higher in her house, although sometimes i chose to ignore, but seeing her cleaning or vacuuming righttt after she saw spills or crumbs on her floor, carpets and her sofa - is hard enuf... well of course , that should be the way - before the spills cause anyone to fall or the usually sweet liquid sipping thru the sofa cloth and before the crumbs is stepped by everyone and makes it all over the place instead of one spot... but the stress is - I have to keep an eye, before she gets up first...

Most of the time i envy people who has mom to be their best friend, well that doesnt work with me. We still have barrier between us altho we always talk on the phone , gossiping. I wish i could change or she could change - kinda difficult - to begin with - we are almost alike in the way we talk - and like the north and north, cant get along well - and sometimes we hate each other gutts.

She always thinks shes right (which is true - but the way she emphasizing it ), she never satisfied, she can be very emotional - and i'm trying to change and not 'grow old' and be like her, but I always tell myself to listen to her more, obey her, respect her more and on top of all love her more.

Sometimes it is difficult for me ( i dono about everyone else ), when some sentences blurted out of her mouth and makes u stress - maximum! - and my reply to the sharp statement " enuff of this stressful life i dont need anyone else to add! ,and I mean anyone! " - but only in my heart - I used to be blunt and loud - but now i chose to be more sincere and careful - and although that is stressful.. it actually works and 'heal' me faster.. considering the fact that of her hard time she had when she was taking care of me....

But then again she is the coolest mom on earth too - as she loves fishing, we used to fish and play snooker and bowls together... even that - she can't be my friend - can't tell all my problems to her although she can sense it and try to 'korek' from me in her own way like 6 different questions that means the same - and m good at that - guess where i learn that from..

my mother..remains my mother, love her with all my heart.. "syurga di bawah tapak kaki ibu" - is not a joke

oh ya and my dad was ok... though he looks a bit thin - the kids cheered him up ;-)

.. i was wondering .. how come generally girls attached to fathers and boys attached to mothers....and i mean in most cases. and for me the luckiest person on earth is the person who are very close to their mothers...

..and err...when is the mothers day date again..

Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours In a day are not enough - remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items infront of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the Jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and
only They remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.
The sand is everything else---the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and Energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things
that are important to you. "Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse
out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

my 'out of the box' from this story - must also take care of the jar - make sure its an unbreakable jar or intendedly break the jar also the table that placed the jar - make sure the legs are strong enuf, not shaky.... and the room that the jar was placed and the building and some naughty/bad hands that tried to disturb the jar, the ground that holding the building...hehehe... if we have to take care of EVERYTHING...phewww...penat BUT these ( ground, building ) are everybody's responsibility ( anchor: Karam Singh Walia ;-) ) and thats life...
God Willing...

Tadap tidaptap tap..

Our entertainment industry is, next to 'pathetic', .. in the sense of mindset of certain people who's actually even inside the industry and the people who listen and watch the productions or the critics.

I dont understand why people here like to label certain music or movies or even the type of person in an entertainment business as either urban or rural. C'mon if you are not 'berjiwa seni' (artistic mind) please stop categorizing certain patented arts creation or ideas as urban or rural. For me, music is universal, so is movies, no matter what language, what genre or whatever issues.. it is universal. I guess they judge that base on the group of people who support the artiste/production.

For instants, the rnb singer like Sheila Majid - they call her music as urban - so only urban people listen to the music - ekkk ( the sound of wrong-answer-in-quiz-tv-game-show ), I have friends in rural areas love her music. I'm a fan of her since 1984 - and for me her music is fresh and entertaining ( she is now pregnant second child with Acis - WOWWiiee Congratulations! for a 4o+ year old woman ). I used to not missed any of her album, any of her concerts and any of her public appearance - but i'm not a fanatic fans - I'm just one her fans who loves her music - And that doesnt make me not like to listen the pops, rocks, hiphop and even traditional songs ( even i grew up in urban areas ) - Labelling a rock music is a 'drugged' music and traditional music as 'kampung' ( "village 'ing") .. is not nice. I personally loves the catchy tunes in our traditional songs and 'head-banging' Rock Music, the oldies, 'archipelago"s or 'world music's like zainal abidin's and m.nasir's music is very interesting. In other words, its up to the individual choice.

As Music is universal regardless the language, so is Movies, no matter..if the msgs is well delivered to the right audiences than theres no such thing as rural or urban or intelectual or stupid movies - movies are judge on the storyline, the cast, the cinematoraphy and the script..mainly, and the movie should be just quality or not, worth watching, no such labelling as slapstick, lawak bodoh et cetera. so what..if it is slapstick? or lawak bodoh? - not everybody thinks the same. This is due to the TV3 program Sensasi that invited Afdlin Shauki and Prof Razak, trying to label their movies as kampung and urban and it is a sad issue, Prof Razak make money with his movie more than afdlin due to his 'kampung' movie and afdlin movie has more 'intelectual quality". For me, if i watch Prof movie - i expect his 'kind' of movie and so is Afdlin's, you dont go to prof movie and expect afdlin kinda work vice versa, also if u watch Yasmeen's movie, don't expect it is like Shuhaimi Baba kinda work and vice versa - who's one is greater than who - you must know what to expect from this directors, then we can open up.. and then theres issues on who's movie goin abroad - of course we should choose the balance of the 4 points and they are qualified altho they are not makin money in this country.. ish...actually theres more to argue about our movies.. for me we have to stop labelling and watch movies that u like to watch, who else to support them - accept us.. I used to not like to watch malaysian movies , but now when theres varieties - Issues! - well i guess it is good to colour up the industry.. but positive one please.. no need hollywood as example, thailand n indonesia's production has it.

..and i will not 'banned' any artiste just because she/he has any personal problems or attitude, as long as the production has quality ... the basis is the right work attitude produce a great result.. locally or abroad

and i'm now in love with Adibah Noor - big size, big heart, beautiful voice... all the best for the
AJL21 final Dib! ;-)

The Star lyrics

for my kidz and everybody else kidz ;-)

What cha wanna be - when you grow up
What cha gonna do - when your time is up
What cha gonna say - when things go wrong
What cha wanna do - when you're on your own
There's a road - long and winding
The lights are blindin' - but it gets there
Don't give up - don't look back
There's a silver linin' - it's out there somewhere
Everybody wants an answer - everybody needs a friend
We all need a shinin' star on which we can depend
N' so tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before - (to find what you're
looking for)
There'll be times - in your life
Ya when you' be dancin' n' shit - but you ain't gettin it
But don't get disillusioned - no, don't expect too much
Cuz if what you have is all you can get - just keep on
tryin' - it just ain't happened yet
Everybody wants ta be winner - everybody has a dream
We all need a shinin' star when things ain't what they seem
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before - (gotta get where you're
headed for)
Everybody wants some kindness - everybody needs a break
We all need a shinin' star when things get hard to take
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before

instant noodle = my condolence to the creator family but...

Mr. Momofoku Ando... the creator of instant noodle.. the ramen noodle of Nissin.. passed away a few days ago - read about it HERE - while i was reading the utusan about his 'passing' I was actually slurping my favourite Maggi mee curry flavour with a bit of oil and 3/4 boiled egg - oh so yummy..

hmm... i know it is not a very healthy food - but always the unhealthy one is the mouth watering one - espescially when it is very easy to prepare and to get.

..well then after a few days blogging break due to my reschedule-sleep-time-"jet-lag"= blues, I figured i write about instant noodles.. and so as per normal i will browse or specifically 'googling' around the topic - i knew the 'not-so-good-news-contents-for-our-health' - and i just pickup some interesting infos from it. .. ( ok ..ok .. maybe it is 'ancient' info hehe)

Quite frightening - espescially when i open the fomca ( in malay and pdf format ) website, on how the coating of the noodles contain wax ( which prevent the noodles to stick together when we pour hot water on it) can be in your system and will not disolve until three days - so it is adviseable to not take instant noodles 3 days in a row or more...but in urban legends web deny a bit about the facts about the wax that can cause harm to our health - but I guess we have to balance the story. Instant noodles now are called cancer noodles.

There were times when i craving for my favourite maggi mee and I ate 2 nites in a row for supper..why supper - because I dont want to eat during the day..to hide from the kids..and its bad for kids..altho i give them arnd maybe once in a month...and because of that instant noodles is like a very special food that they can only get rarely..

The seasoning also is another health issue - i think - but i cant find any comments / complaints or research about it..it may be harmless...

but then again...

Most process food and fast food - r not nutritious enuff.. the best is always home cook meal and the very best is organic food ( but I cant afford that n I wish I could )..

but why am i talking about cancerous food when I... (y'know lah Paul heheheee )

..and that day..my other half told me .. he is bored and hungry in the office..took the MAMEE snack.. put in a cup..pour in the seasoning..and slurrrppp ..collegue was sniffing - went near him - wondering what was it - and everybody copied the idea..ehehehe..what da...hehe

..in this global warming era.. the best is exercise and drink a lot of water

Nevertheless, instant noodle is my favourite - always make sure theres stock in da house in case the lazy-to-cook syndrome and supper-hunger blues and of course emergencies and for my 'lucky' guest..heheee..and hey..now its consumeable in space.. ;-P

(this entry is not sponsored by any instant noodle company in the world ;-))

What took me so long..

Internet access was down on friday the 30th, Saturday bored to death although a lot of work to do in da house ( tried to install Simcity 3000 again but - grrr - the cd is already "out-of-order" ), Sunday Morning slept over my parents place for two nites. Got home Tuesday nite, after visiting my "introducer" to my other-half, a dear friend FID.. she is "born-2be-a-lucky-wife" as she has a husband who is a great cook ( hehe - Fid - not saying y're not a good cook eheheheh ), so we 'langkah kanan' that day as he was in the mood to cook...

At home that Tuesday nite.. i was so glad that the net is back..so was 'updating' myself on certain things from my mails while doing a last minute preparations for Ayska's first day at school the next day - and end up sleeping at 3 am - woke up at 6 am - I felt both like a zombie and excited - it is called mummy-firstday-daughter-at school-blues... everybody was cool - except me.. Ayska was excellent - no complaint - its just that she is smaller in size compared to the rest - so as she was only manage to sit behind- the teacher had to call her name twice as she didnt see her - so gotta make sure she sits infront or be infront for most 'occasions' - worst thing - the school canteen management was bad - recess time - pupils were rushing to buy food ( i didnt bring food for her - obviously - wanted to train her to know on how to buy things and also lazy to prepare any ) - havoc! no lines! - she end up being almost 'squished' by bigger pupils - after all her courage and 'fight' she managed to buy a packet of potato fries for RM1!!! - not worth it! At home - she asked me to prepare food for her... ( *smile* *smile* unlike others who felt it ain't cool enuf to bring food from home )... if she is like the others I'd have to give her rm2 a day...!!! Rm1 for very little amount of food and RM1 for drinks... well i think the time will come where she'd then felt the it-aint-cool-enuff thingy - some more cost - school van - rm65 a month ...! in future aghhh dono what other costs..

Wanted to write about this the nite of her first school day - but - I was the very the exhausted!!! i slept in front of this machine!.. so only tonite a bit 'alert'

and uh oh... what happen to me on the new year eve! -

..nothing..

just watch tv - which has nothing..

buttt... as i dont have astro at home...( only installed it at my parents place - for a very good reason ) i consider myself having 'a-good-start-of the year' when

on the first day of the year, I managed to watch three movies ..err...malay movies = which i did not manage, 'afford', 'too proud' to watch - that is gubra, remp-it and pontianak 2 - quite 'old' movies for malaysians. Wanted to watch Gubra ( 5.30pm ) soooo much, its the sequel to Sepet - twas a very interestingly-weird-wicked malaysian movie - and I lurve it! Remp-It (9.00 pm) - hmmmphh - totally carry the image of 'Malay' movies. Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam 2 (1.00am ) - excellent horror - works really well when I was watching it alone in the middle of the nite..horrendous!!

Devastated on: Saddam execution ( my own reason ) and bombing in Bangkok
Still Devastated on the flood in Johore.

Wishing You ... although quite late..

Alamak..late..

Hope I can still wish everybody a very HapPy YiPpeE 2007 and Salam Eidul Adha to Muslims all over the world..

Eid ul-Adha occurs on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijja. It is one of two Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate. Eid ul-Adha is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael (Ishmael) for God. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha also begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon (khu?ba).

It is celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja of the lunar Islamic calendar, after Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. This happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan. Eid ul-Adha is three days long starting the day after the pilgrims in hajj (annual pilgrimage to Mecca by Muslims world wide) descend from mount Arafat.

This is when the Muslims all over the world unite...
